Week 2: June 22 – June 28, 2025

Camp Fees & Registration

Please inform Brian Wells if you plan to attend camp with Troop 65. He will register you in Black Pug and provide a code for credit card payments and merit badge registration. If using Scout Bucks or making cash/check payments to the troop, notify Brian so he can process your payment to Camp Cherokee.

Camp Fee Structure:

• Early Bird Rate: $435

  • Full payment must be received by Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 11:59 PM to qualify for a $50 discount.

  • Day campers and adult leaders are NOT eligible for the early bird rate.

  • New Scouts joining after March 27 automatically qualify for the early bird rate.

• Standard Camp Fee: $485

• Adult Leader Fee: $215

  • The troop receives 2 free leader spots, which will be distributed among attending leaders.

Payment Schedule:

• Payment 1: $160 due by Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 11:59 PM (to register for merit badges on April 1)

• Payment 2: $160 due by Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11:59 PM

• Payment 3: $165 due by Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 11:59 PM

• Late Fee: $20 for Scouts not paid in full by Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 11:59 PM

Merit Badge Enrollment

• Enrollment Opens: Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 8:00 PM

Merit Badge & Activity Registration Options

Option 1: Parent Portal

Parents can sign up Scouts for classes using the Parent Portal.

• Plan schedules ahead of time before enrollment opens.

• First-year campers should consider taking classes with other Troop 65 Scouts (buddy system).

• Consider class locations when planning schedules.

Option 2: Mr. Wells Registers Your Scout

• Send your desired schedule to Brian Wells by 5:00 PM on April 6, 2025.

• Include Merit Badge/Activity by Session and an alternate choice.

• If unavailable, a comparable class will be assigned.

Suggested Schedule for First-Year Troop 65 Campers (Optional)

• Recommended Merit Badges:

  • First Aid (2 blocks)

  • Cooking (2 blocks)

  • Camping

  • Swimming (2 blocks)

• FROGS Program (3 periods)

  • Covers many rank requirements (though some can be completed at Troop activities before camp).

If you are interested in taking Swimming or would like to be grouped with other Troop 65 Scouts, please let Brian Wells know in advance.
